Agent Tools

Terms of use

Agent Tools plugins and API read public information for you. Use them fairly, check what matters, and know that the information comes from third parties.

Last updated 2026-10-05. Applies to the plugins served from openkrill.app hostnames (for example jobs.openkrill.app, names.openkrill.app, packages.openkrill.app, recalls.openkrill.app, citations.openkrill.app, stores.openkrill.app, businessdays.openkrill.app, tariffs.openkrill.app, eubusiness.openkrill.app, rules.openkrill.app, sitecheck.openkrill.app, travel.openkrill.app, food.openkrill.app, cars.openkrill.app, docs.openkrill.app, tax.openkrill.app, shopduty.openkrill.app and catalogqa.openkrill.app) and to the API at api.openkrill.app.

The service

The plugins answer questions from public sources. Company Jobs Finder lists open jobs that companies publish on their public Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable and SmartRecruiters job boards. It reads those boards; it does not apply to jobs, contact employers or act for you anywhere. Startup Name Check asks the public registration lookup (RDAP) service of each domain's registry whether a domain name is registered, and shows its registration status and dates. It does not register or reserve domains, search trademarks or show who owns a domain. Package Health Check reports what public sources (OSV.dev, the npm registry, the PyPI JSON API, deps.dev and npm) say about npm and Python packages, and checks the dependencies in a package.json you share. It does not scan source code, change your project or install anything.

Recall Check reports recalls published by the US NHTSA, CPSC and FDA. It covers the United States only, can miss recalls, and is not a safety guarantee, a safety inspection or advice about whether to keep using a vehicle or product. It looks up vehicles by year, make and model, so it cannot say whether your own vehicle has an open recall; check nhtsa.gov/recalls with your VIN. Do not send it personal information. Citation Checker compares references with the records in Crossref, the DOI system (doi.org) and OpenAlex and reports whether each one is found, mismatched or not found, and whether a paper has a registered retraction, expression of concern or correction. It checks bibliographic details only; it does not read papers or judge whether their claims are true. Business Days and Holidays counts working days and moves dates using the public holiday calendars of Nager.Date and OpenHolidays and says how it counted. It does not know a company's closures, local observances or contract terms, and it is not a legal deadline calculator. Tariff Code Finder reads the UK Trade Tariff and the US Harmonized Tariff Schedule. It lists candidate tariff codes and the duty rate printed for a code; it does not classify goods, issue a customs ruling, calculate landed cost or cover other countries. Travel Check reports government travel advice and airport conditions as published. UK advice is written for British citizens and US advice for US citizens, so entry rules for other passports can differ, and it is not visa, medical, legal or safety advice or a source for flight planning. Advisories change, so confirm on the official page before you travel. Food Facts shows product information from Open Food Facts, a database that its community edits under the Open Database Licence (ODbL). Entries can be incomplete, wrong or out of date, and recipes change, so the physical label always wins. Its allergen check only reads the allergens listed in the entry; it is not a guarantee that a product is safe and not dietary or medical advice. Car Check reports what the US NHTSA and EPA publish about a vehicle: decoded VIN details, recalls, 5-star crash test ratings, the number of owner complaints and the components they name, and fuel economy estimates. It covers US vehicles only, lists recalls and complaints by year, make and model rather than by VIN, and a complaint is a report from an owner, not a confirmed defect. It is not a valuation, a vehicle history or accident report, an inspection, or safety, mechanical or buying advice, and no recall or complaint listed, or none found, is a guarantee about a particular car. Shop Duty Desk estimates the EU customs duty on low-value consignments, checks Shopify CSV exports for missing customs data, suggests candidate tariff codes from the UK and US tariffs, and estimates the landed cost of an item. It does not file customs declarations, pay duty or give a binding classification. Catalog QA Desk checks Shopify product CSVs and public product feeds against the import format and Google Merchant Center rules, and drafts a CSV of corrected image alt text and titles. It does not change a store, upload files or promise that Merchant Center or Shopify will accept a product.

Information from third parties

Job titles, locations, salaries, descriptions and links come from the companies' own job boards and belong to them. Answers can be up to about two hours old (24 hours for recall lists, about three hours for travel advice), a job may already be filled, and a company may post jobs in places the plugin does not read. Confirm the details on the employer's own application page before you rely on them. Domain answers are indicative: they show a registry's status at that moment, do not reserve a name, may be up to about five minutes old, and cannot show premium or reserved pricing. Confirm availability and price with a domain registrar, and check trademarks yourself, before you commit to a name. Nothing the plugins return is career, legal or financial advice.

For Citation Checker, the records come from Crossref, the DOI system and OpenAlex and can be up to about six hours old: a book, report, web page or talk is often missing from them, so "not found" is a prompt to check by hand and not proof that a reference is invented, and a retraction may be registered some time after it happens. Check the paper itself before you rely on a verdict.

Document Tools counts text and writes calendar (.ics) and CSV files from what you give it. It checks the format of what it writes but not that the content is right: check dates, time zones and numbers before you rely on a file. A download link works for 24 hours and then the file is deleted, so keep your own copy.

Tax Numbers gives published US federal tax figures, each with the IRS document it came from, and a simple federal estimate that uses the standard deduction and leaves out credits, state tax, alternative minimum tax and more. It is an estimate, not tax advice, and it does not prepare or file a return. The figures were checked against IRS documents on the date shown in each answer; the IRS can change or amend them, so check the IRS before you rely on a figure for a filing or a payment.

Store Price Tracker reads the public product feed that Shopify stores publish, once a day per store. It covers only stores that publish that feed and allow crawlers in robots.txt, so a store can be missing or out of date, and a price or stock level can change between snapshots. A store's own page is the authority on its price. It is for research and is not pricing, legal or purchasing advice. History starts the day a store is first asked about.

For Business Days and Holidays, the holiday lists come from Nager.Date and OpenHolidays, can be up to about 24 hours old, and can be incomplete or wrong for a region or a year, and a government can change a holiday at short notice. A result is a date calculation, not legal, employment or financial advice. Check the official calendar, your contract and any court or agency rule before you rely on a date for a deadline, a payment or a notice.

For Tariff Code Finder, the schedules come from HM Revenue & Customs and the US International Trade Commission and can be up to about six hours old. Tariff codes it returns are candidates and not a binding classification: the right code depends on the product and customs decides. Duty rates in the schedule exclude quotas, trade remedies, excise, and for the US the additional duties in chapter 99, and they change on published dates. Confirm the code and the duty with customs or a licensed customs broker before you declare goods. Nothing it returns is customs, legal, tax or financial advice.

For EU Business Check, VAT results come from the European Commission's VIES service, LEIs from the GLEIF Global LEI Index and company records from the French Sirene and Norwegian Enhetsregisteret registers; they can be up to about an hour old and a register can lag behind a change by days. A valid VAT number does not show that a business is trustworthy, solvent or the one you are dealing with. Names are shown only for legal entities and sole proprietors are left out, so an absent name does not mean no business exists. A consultation number is issued by VIES, not by us. Do not use it to look up private persons. Nothing it returns is credit, legal, tax or financial advice.

Shop Duty Desk gives estimates, not customs, tax or legal advice. Every tariff code it returns is a candidate, not a binding classification: confirm it with customs or a licensed customs broker before you declare goods. The EUR 3 EU duty estimate covers only consignments of up to EUR 150 sent under the Import One-Stop Shop or by post, from 1 July 2026 until 1 July 2028 (Regulations (EU) 2026/382 and 2026/1022). Landed cost uses the duty rate published in the UK Trade Tariff or the US Harmonized Tariff Schedule and a small VAT table whose rates carry a source and the date they were checked; it leaves out EU TARIC and Canadian rates and US chapter 99 additional duties, so the total can be lower than what you owe.

Catalog QA Desk applies published rules as they stood when it was last updated; Shopify and Google can change theirs, and the lists it returns can be capped at 200 entries. Its fix sheet is advisory: review every row before you import it, because an import can overwrite what is in your store. A store address is read from its public product feed, only if its robots.txt allows it, and a store can block that.

Package advisories, licenses, deprecation notices and release dates come from public databases and registries and can be incomplete or late, and package answers can be up to about an hour old. A package with no known advisory can still be vulnerable, a recent release is not a guarantee of safety, and a license shown here is what the registry lists, not legal advice. Check the package's own repository and license file, and test updates, before you rely on the results.

For Rules Lookup, section text comes from the Electronic Code of Federal Regulations (eCFR) and documents from the Federal Register, both published by the Office of the Federal Register; they can be up to about six hours old. The eCFR is an unofficial edition: the legal text is the Federal Register and the annual Code of Federal Regulations. A Federal Register document may since have been amended, withdrawn or replaced. Rules Lookup gives general information, not legal advice, and covers United States federal regulations only. Check the current official text and ask a qualified lawyer before you rely on a result.

Site Check fetches the public web address you give it, and that site's robots.txt, from our servers, and reports what the site publishes. It refuses private, local and internal addresses and addresses that are not plain http or https web pages, and it does not follow a redirect into one. It reports what a site declares: a robots.txt rule or a header is a request to crawlers, not access control, and a clean result does not show that a site is secure or that a crawler will obey. Only check sites you own or are allowed to inspect, and do not use it to scan for vulnerabilities, to collect contact details or to put load on a site.
